I couldn’t thank them enough from the minute they received the phone call off my mam about my brother up until we laid him to rest yesterday they’ve been brilliant. They’ve been so sympathetic, supportive, understanding, showed empathy and guided us during this difficult time. Nicola was outstanding she gave a lot of support to both my mam and dad and a lot of effort went in from all staff yesterday to make sure everything was perfect for my brother. We really wouldn’t have been able to plan something as heartbreaking as this without Nicola and the team and I really do recommend their service. Thank you again Nicola♥️

Natalie handled our case with nothing but compassion, respect and kindness with our baby Teddys funeral. We genuinely wouldn’t of been able to cope as well if it wasn’t for Natalie helping us along the way and giving us the best opportunity of having such a beautiful send off on the 14th of April for our boy. We couldn’t thank/reccomend her enough we genuinely appreciate everything she has done for us. Nicola helped guide us through the most difficult time of our lives after our son, Robin, was born sleeping. She was incredibly kind and patient with us during the whole process - we had (thankfully) never needed to plan a funeral before so really didn’t know what it entailed and she took us through everything step-by-step, at a pace we felt comfortable with and affirmed our decisions along the way. She communicated with us brilliantly throughout and was incredibly respectful and a real comfort to us during the funeral service. That level of support and compassion was an absolutely priceless thing to receive during that time and we can’t thank Nicola enough for all that she did for me, Jack and Robin.

For ny Dads funeral we mainly dealt with Nicola who was amazing. Switched on, respectful, organised, compassionate. Skills which are hard to find in one person but she had them all. She also managed our very specific wishes with ease and attention to every detail. She was supported by Hayley who was also wonderful. The funeral was everything we needed to see dad off.

This is the second time using Walker & Morrell in Gateshead. Losing a loved one can be a deeply traumatic and confusing time, from the first telephone call Nicola helped guide us through what can be a minefield. She discussed with us what we wanted, sorted everything out with the Medical Examiner and got Dad to the Chapel of Rest. Nothing was a problem for these guys, they were all compassionate and understanding. The funeral was perfect and went without a hitch, the cars are beautiful, not the traditional black but thats what we wanted something different. Everyone who attended commented on how professional and courteous all the staff were. Even after the funeral Nicola and Hayley have been amazing answering any questions and helping with memorial tributes, they go above and beyond. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending these guys, they offer a fantastic service with professionalism and compassion in difficult times. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
