This provision gradually extended to arranging complete funerals, a tradition carried on by his nephew George, who became known as the Alnwick Undertaker until his death in 1992. Alistair Turner, George's nephew, took over the family business and in 2005 rebranded it under his own name, later opening offices in Amble and Rothbury in 2006.
