Fred Stevens Funeral Directors, based at the Old Bussage Garage in Bussage, near Stroud, is part of the oldest surviving family-run funeral business in the Stroud district, originally established in the late 1930s. The Bussage branch was developed to serve the combined communities of Chalford Hill and Bussage, which represent an almost self-contained community within the Stroud district. The premises were thoughtfully redeveloped from the former Bussage Garage — previously the home of Beavis Coaches for over 60 years — into a properly equipped funeral home in the heart of the Bussage and Chalford area.
The Bussage funeral home benefits from a convenient yet peaceful location with picturesque views across the Toadsmoor valley. It offers dedicated on-site parking alongside privacy and seclusion for visitors making arrangements or visiting the Chapel of Rest. Like the main Nailsworth office, the Bussage branch upholds the company's commitment to tailoring every funeral to reflect the person who has died, whilst also meeting the individual needs of those left behind.
With decades of experience and a deeply personal approach, Fred Stevens Funeral Directors provides compassionate guidance from the moment of bereavement through to the funeral service itself, supporting families with every aspect of the process.
