John Fraser and Son is a family-run funeral director and monumental sculptor firm based in Inverness, established in 1884 and now in its fourth generation of family ownership. With over 140 years of service to the community, the business has built enduring relationships with families across the Highlands, guided by a consistent commitment to professionalism, empathy, and excellence. The current proprietor, Vicki Fraser, took over from her father Ian Fraser in 2014, continuing the family legacy while embracing new ideas in response to client needs.
Operating from their Inverness funeral home at 17–29 Chapel Street, the team offers a comprehensive range of funeral services, planning each funeral individually and with great care to ensure every wish is fully realised. They provide 24-hour assistance, attended and unattended funerals, pre-paid funeral plans, and memorial stonework crafted by skilled craftsmen. The Inverness office is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with around-the-clock telephone support available at any time.
John Fraser and Son hold memberships with the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD), the Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF), the British Institute of Embalmers, Golden Charter Funeral Plans, and the British Register of Accredited Memorial Masons, reflecting their dedication to the highest professional standards.
