"We were very pleased with the respect, care and consideration we were given by Sheila in Shanklin. Janet had the send off that she deserved. The help given was very well received by her family."
— Janette Rowe (about Sheila)
"From start to finish, Sheila was simply wonderful and we can't thank her and her colleagues enough for everything they did for us."
— Mike Otley (about Sheila)
"We lost my dad and then my mums twin sister 9 days later. Sheila sorted out both with direct cremation for us and kept us up to date throughout the whole process. A real credit to the company."
— Kim Garside (about Sheila)
"Sheila kept me informed all the way through the process. She was so caring about Mom and me and my husband at a time we needed it the most. When we went to pick Mom's ashes up she spent time consoling me, in a way I didn't feel ridiculous for getting upset, she understood."

If I could give 10 stars I would. Sheila at Shanklin Office couldn't have been more helpful, friendly, compassionate, understanding, interested and professional. Sheila kept me informed all the way through the process, she gave me great advice about things we didn't understand about the process right at the beginning so we knew what would happen. She was so caring about Mom and me and my husband at a time we needed it the most. When we went to pick Mom's ashes up she spent time consoling me, in a way I didn't feel ridiculous for getting upset, she understood. I would highly recommend using the coop funeral care. It wasn't just Sheila of course, there were others involved but we dealt with Sheila. Thank you x

With the recent loss of my younger brother on the Isle of Wight (January 2026), I elected to appoint The Co-operative Funeralcare to look after him as we have used them before. My brother lived in Shanklin so it was logical to use the Shanklin Branch. I can sum up their service in one word: Superb. From start to finish, Sheila was simply wonderful and we can't thank her and her colleagues enough for everything they did for us.

Sheila (from Shanklin Isle of Wight branch) was just amazing! Helped us through the whole process and was compassionate and caring throughout. We lost my dad and then my mums twin sister 9 days later. Sheila sorted out both with direct cremation for us and kept us up to date throughout the whole process. A real credit to the company.
