— Janette Rowe (about Sheila)

"From start to finish, Sheila was simply wonderful and we can't thank her and her colleagues enough for everything they did for us. I can sum up their service in one word: Superb."

— Mike Otley (about Sheila)

"We lost my dad and then my mums twin sister 9 days later. Sheila sorted out both with direct cremation for us and kept us up to date throughout the whole process. A real credit to the company."

— Kim Garside (about Sheila)

"If I could give 10 stars I would. When we went to pick Mom's ashes up she spent time consoling me, in a way I didn't feel ridiculous for getting upset, she understood. She was so caring about Mom and me and my husband at a time we needed it the most."

— Andrea Tabberer (about Sheila)

"My eternal gratitude for their compassion, support, understanding and exemplary professionalism. Particular praise for Sheila for her kindness, comforting words and dedication to ensuring that the family and Karen herself, once under her care, were treated with sensitivity, dignity and respect - she is a true credit not only to the company but also to the very profession itself. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for guiding us through this most difficult of times."

My eternal gratitude to Southern Co-Op Funeralcare on the Isle of Wight for their compassion, support, understanding and exemplary professionalism throughout the planning and conducting of my wife Karen’s recent funeral service. Particular praise for Sheila at the Shanklin home for her kindness, comforting words and dedication to ensuring that the family and Karen herself, once under her care, were treated with sensitivity, dignity and respect - she is a true credit not only to the company but also to the very profession itself. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for guiding us through this most difficult of times, and for the invaluable assistance and support we received that allowed us to say goodbye to our beloved Karen in the manner she truly deserved. If I could give 10 stars I would. Sheila at Shanklin Office couldn't have been more helpful, friendly, compassionate, understanding, interested and professional. Sheila kept me informed all the way through the process, she gave me great advice about things we didn't understand about the process right at the beginning so we knew what would happen. She was so caring about Mom and me and my husband at a time we needed it the most. When we went to pick Mom's ashes up she spent time consoling me, in a way I didn't feel ridiculous for getting upset, she understood. I would highly recommend using the coop funeral care. It wasn't just Sheila of course, there were others involved but we dealt with Sheila. Thank you x

With the recent loss of my younger brother on the Isle of Wight (January 2026), I elected to appoint The Co-operative Funeralcare to look after him as we have used them before. My brother lived in Shanklin so it was logical to use the Shanklin Branch. I can sum up their service in one word: Superb. From start to finish, Sheila was simply wonderful and we can't thank her and her colleagues enough for everything they did for us.

Sheila (from Shanklin Isle of Wight branch) was just amazing! Helped us through the whole process and was compassionate and caring throughout. We lost my dad and then my mums twin sister 9 days later. Sheila sorted out both with direct cremation for us and kept us up to date throughout the whole process. A real credit to the company.
