William Hall Independent Funeral Directors is a family-run, independent funeral service based on the Isle of Wight, operating from Springbank, Winford Road, Newchurch, Sandown. Founded in 1992 by William Hall, the company was established with the aim of offering a unique and individual service to families, and has since helped, guided and supported thousands of families across the Island. The firm is a proud member of both the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) and the National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF), ensuring the highest professional standards and a strict code of practice are maintained at all times.
The team of six full-time professionally trained staff provides a caring and compassionate service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Their impressive fleet includes a Jaguar hearse and limousine, as well as a striking Victorian horse-drawn hearse for those wishing a traditional send-off. William Hall Funeral Directors also own Springwood Woodland Cemetery, one of the first woodland burial sites in the country, started in 1995, offering both full burial and cremated remains options in a natural and tranquil setting.
The team prides itself on delivering a highly personal service, combining memories, music, hymns, poems and readings to create meaningful and reflective funeral services that truly honour the individual.
