Walter C. Parson Funeral Directors is a family business established in 1842 at Stoke Climsland, Cornwall. It has, either by inheritance or acquisition, remained in the family over seven generations.
We strive to deliver a first class service, one which would only be acceptable to a member of our own family.
"Their whole ethos was about caring and respect - James guided me through all the necessary arrangements at this very sad, emotionally draining time, and yet miraculously he quietly managed to keep my spirits up throughout."
— Dee Hamilton (about James)
"This information meant that we didn't feel entirely clueless at a very difficult time emotionally and when we would be expecting to spend £1,000's on a funeral. They provided emotional and practical support throughout."
— ann coals (about Darren)
"Special thanks to Darren who organised the funeral and thanks to all the staff at Parsons for being so professional and respectful. Thank you so much for looking after my Mum Hazel Mardon."
— Chris Scrace (about Darren)
"He made the day easier to bear with his compassion, attention to detail and very professional manner in which the funeral was carried out."
— Mike Stevens (about James)
"I couldn't have wished for a kinder or more understanding funeral director than James - he was fabulous and so helpful, efficiently dealing with and gently guiding me through all the necessary arrangements at this very sad, emotionally draining time, and yet miraculously he quietly managed to keep my spirits up throughout - nothing was too much trouble."
— Dee Hamilton (about James)
"Jo was so kind, understanding and caring and was always there for me to answer questions and guide me through details. They carried out the wishes of myself and my grandson after my daughter tragically died and their whole ethos was about caring and respect, even the jewellery returned to us was packaged in suitable boxes and pouches."

My mother-in-law died recently at the grand old age of 92. Most funeral directors seem to have a 5* in Exeter which is great but what led us to WCP was the comprehensive information given on their website re: actual costs/services etc. This information meant that we didn't feel entirely clueless at a very difficult time emotionally and when we would be expecting to spend £1,000's on a funeral. They provided a choice of Celebrant (we didn't want a religious service) and all the 'usuals' - Coffin/hearse/flowers/emotional and practical support/crematorium etc. We are very happy to recommend Darren and co. And would use Walter C Parsons again (but hope not to just yet). 'Our' funeral ended up at around the £3k mark which we felt very reasonable. We understand that there are both cheaper and more expensive packages available - check their site!
