T W Fuggle and Son is an independent, family-owned funeral directors based at 20 Ashford Road, Tenterden, Kent. The business has a rich heritage stretching back to 12th July 1930, when Thomas William Fuggle directed his very first funeral at St. Michael's Church, Tenterden. Today, his great-grandsons, brothers Crispin and Simon Fuggle, continue that proud tradition as fourth-generation funeral directors, still operating from the same premises in Tenterden.
Crispin and Simon take immense pride in the service they offer, ensuring nothing is too much trouble for the families they serve. They pride themselves on the presentation of their staff, vehicles, and premises, and are supported by their colleague Julie McMahon. The team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, serving Tenterden, Ashford, and the surrounding villages.
T W Fuggle and Son are proud members of the National Association of Funeral Directors and are able to cater for all types of funerals, from the very simple to the most elaborate. Whether arranging a burial or cremation, a church service or a non-religious ceremony, they approach every arrangement with calm, compassion, and the utmost professionalism, either at their Tenterden office or in the privacy of the family's own home.
"He was extremely accommodating with what dad wanted. He advised on ideas and did everything to get my dad to his final resting place. Everything was first class."
— Rachel Fox (about Crispin)
"Their professional and dignified service was equally matched by their generosity of feeling, empathy and support to the whole family. I cannot recommend them highly enough."
— Arran Hunter (about Crispin)
"Crispin gave me his time and consideration thoughtfully and with care, which was so important at such a sensitive time. I felt supported the whole way through everything."
— Darren Vass (about Crispin)
"Julie helped and supported us through the planning of 2 funerals. One was a direct cremation at 7.20 in the morning, attended to by the team who all came in early. Having worked in palliative care for the last 20 years, I can thoroughly recommend them — they are excellent."
— Mary Honey (about Julie)
"We lost our daughter Lesley very suddenly in January 2025. Nothing was too much trouble, and he made the day just bearable. Thank you Crispin."
